The role:

To support our strategic growth agenda, we’re looking for a self-motivated go-getter who thrives in a fast paced, scale-up environment, opening new doors, finding opportunities and winning deals, to join us in our newly created, additional role of Business Development Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager – NZ, this permanent full, time role, based out of Auckland (though with a national scope), will be responsible for driving growth, by identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities, to expand Rauland’s customer base and strategic footprint across New Zealand. Commercially minded, you are someone who isn’t afraid to put themselves out there, embracing cold calling, networking, attending events and utilising lead generation methods to connect.

How would you contribute to our success?

  • Solution, Client & Industry Expertise: Developing a deep understanding of our solutions, prospective healthcare clients, their environments, challenges, objectives, and governing standards to effectively position our platform
  • Drive Growth: Through Building and managing a robust new sales pipeline, identifying, developing and executing strategic plans to qualify enterprise opportunities, expand market reach and unlock new opportunities.
  • Create Opportunities: Proactively embracing prospecting, cold calling, networking, attending events and utilising lead generation methods to build a strong sales pipeline. Articulate solutions clearly communicating benefits of software and solutions that help patient outcomes and improve business processes.
  • Sales Ownership: Managing the full sales process from prospecting to close and contract execution, delivering tailored, value-led solutions.
  • Build Partnerships: Establish deep relationships with industry partner, and different profiled decision-makers by discipline and oversight to enhance market access.
  • Manage Pipeline: Maintaining accurate CRM records and forecasts, tracking key sales metrics, accurately forecasting revenue and managing your pipeline.
  • Stay Ahead: Monitoring industry trends and competitors to inform strategy and strengthen market positioning.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partnering with internal teams to shape and align solutions, messaging, and delivery.
  • Ensure Smooth Handover: Supporting seamless transitions from sales to implementation for long-term client success.

What will make your application stand out?

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Proven success in business development, ideally in digital health, ICT, AV, or healthcare.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and experience with solution design and tender responses.
  • Commercial acumen in pricing, negotiation, and structuring complex deals.
  • Comfortable with outbound selling and breaking into new markets or verticals.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to deliver compelling, solution-focused presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Tech-savvy, with CRM and reporting tool proficiency.
  • Resilient and driven, with confidence in fast-paced, high growth, scale-up environments
  • A willingness to travel within NZ as and when required and hold a full NZ driver license.
